Prof. Julia Pérez-Prieto
Julia Pérez-Prieto is the leader of the Photoreactivity Group at the Molecular Science Institute of the University of Valencia, Spain. She received her PhD in organic chemistry from the University of Oviedo (Spain) under the direction of Prof. José Barluenga and Prof. Gregorio Asensio. In 2007, she became a full Professor at the University of Valencia. She has co-authored over 100 papers, making contributions to research in catalysis and photo-induced processes. At present, her main interests are the design, synthesis, and study of photophysical properties, as well as the application of functional polymers, and semiconductor- and metal-nanoparticles as sensors and photocatalysts.
Prof. Pérez-Prieto is the Valencia coordinator of the “Sustainable Chemistry” Master and Doctorate programmes (http://sustainablechemistryval.com), as well as the interuniversity coordinator of the “Experimental and Industrial Organic Chemistry” Master and Doctorate programmes (http://www.masterenorganica.es/); both of these are official and inter-university PhD programmes.
Dr. Pérez Prieto is the Associate Editor of the EPA Newsletter.
