BSc in Chemistry with honours at University La Sapienza of Rome 2009
Chiara was born in Avezzano (AQ), Italy in 1984. In 2009, Chiara got her B.Sc. in chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Osvaldo Lanzalunga at “La Sapienza Univerisita` di Roma”, with a thesis on the study of photochemical processes of aromatic sulfides in ionic liquids. She did part of her B.Sc. thesis in Valencia, Spain at the “Instituto de tecnologia Quimica” under the supervision of Prof. Hermenegildo Garcia. On January 2010 Chiara joined our group for her Master and she transferred to the Ph.D. program on May 2011, studying the applications of visible light irradiation of gold nanoparticles (AuNP) in catalytic processes. In the same month Chiara was nominated one of the winners of the Vanier scholarship.
