B.Sc. in Chemistry with honours at University “La Sapienza” of Rome, 2009.
Chiara was born in Avezzano (AQ), Italy in 1984. She obtained her B.Sc. in chemistry in 2009 under the supervision of Prof. Osvaldo Lanzalunga at “La Sapienza Univerisita` di Roma”, with a thesis on the study of photochemical processes of aromatic sulfides in ionic liquids. Chiara completed part of her B.Sc. thesis in Valencia (Spain) at the “Instituto de tecnologia Quimica” under the supervision of Prof. Hermenegildo Garcia. On January 2010 Chiara joined our group for her Master and she transferred to the Ph.D. program in May 2011, studying the applications of visible light irradiation of gold nanoparticles (AuNP) in catalytic processes. In the same month Chiara was nominated one of the winners of the Vanier scholarship.
Chiara is currently a post-doc at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, Centre for Life Nano Science-CLNS in Rome, Italy.
