Daniela Marquez Soto
B.Sc. Chemistry – Universidad de Chile 2009
During her undergraduate studies Daniela was a co-op student at the kinetic and photochemistry laboratory at the Faculty of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Universidad de Chile. She completed her B.Sc. in Chemistry at Universidad de Chile in 2010 working in Computational Chemistry performing Molecular Modeling Studies to determine the effects of ligand-binding site conformations on functional selectivity of MAO-A with the aim to test phenylisopropylamine derivatives as potential antidepressants. Daniela joined to the group in 2010 to the MSc program and her work is oriented to the application of supported and colloidal nanoparticles in catalysis mediated by plasmon excitation.
